Alexandra grew-up at the construction site of her parents' lower- downtown development project in Denver, Colorado.  Ever since then, she set her sights on being an architect.  Her first step was to earn a degree in Civil Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines, graduating with honors.  Alexandra then attended the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she was privileged to have studied under Dominique Bonnamour-Lloyd, Elizabeth Dowling, and Douglas Allen, while pursuing her Master in Architecture.  As a young intern, Alexandra acted as project manager for respected residential architects, including Keith Summerour and Joel Laseter.

Alexandra has been designing custom homes in the Atlanta area for over 11 years, ranging from renovations to new construction, and urban dwellings to lakeside vacation homes.

Projects start as hand-drawn sketches, and are developed into detailed construction documents.  The ultimate goal is a beautiful home made to fit the lifestyle and spirit of the client, as well as the site and surrounding landscape.  Experience has shown that the quality imbedded in the design must be transmitted by the tools that communicate that design, the drawings themselves.  Because of this, significant efforts are made to produce the highest quality drawings.  That quality is then realized in the final, built reality of the home.

In 2013, Alexandra Dalton Residential Design was recognized by the City of Decatur with a Best New Construction Design Award.  The project was done in collaboration with Peak Carpentry & Design.
